Crawl Space UV Germicidal String Light - 50' UVC Bulbs with Daily Auto Timer
Automated Mold Prevention
This professional-grade 50-foot UV germicidal string light system delivers continuous mold and bacteria control in crawl spaces with five UVC bulbs (253.7 nm wavelength) spaced every 10 feet along weather-resistant commercial cable. Designed specifically for unattended crawl space sanitation, this complete kit includes metal safety cages, mechanical pin timer for daily automated operation, and mounting hooks—providing hands-free germicidal protection that runs on your schedule without requiring entry into the crawl space.
CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: UV Eye Protection Required
UVC light at 253.7 nm is extremely dangerous to human eyes and can cause serious injury including corneal burns and temporary blindness from even brief exposure. NEVER enter the crawl space while UV lights are operating. Always verify lights are OFF before entry. Wear UV-protective eyewear rated for 253.7 nm if you must work near operating UV lights. The automated timer helps prevent accidental exposure by running lights during unoccupied hours.
Ozone Production and Organic Matter Oxidation
UVC bulbs at 253.7 nm produce minor amounts of ozone as a byproduct of operation—this is normal and expected. The ozone provides additional antimicrobial benefits. You may notice an organic smell during operation; this is organic matter (mold, bacteria, dead insects) being oxidized by UV light and ozone. This smell indicates the system is actively destroying biological contaminants. Proper crawl space ventilation handles ozone levels safely.
