Beast Butyl Tape - 1" × 50' Double-Sided Tape for Vapor Barrier Wall Attachment
Permanent Wall Liner Bond
Beast Butyl Tape is a professional-grade, double-sided butyl rubber tape designed for attaching vapor barrier wall liner to crawl space foundation walls during encapsulation projects. At 1 inch wide and made from tacky butyl rubber, this tape creates a permanent, moisture-resistant bond between vertical surfaces and polyethylene sheeting—essential for completing a fully sealed crawl space encapsulation system.
Professional Installation Method
Apply construction adhesive (we recommend Loctite PL375) to the foundation wall in a continuous bead where you want the tape positioned. Press the butyl tape firmly into the adhesive and allow to dry completely. Peel away the protective backing and press your vapor barrier wall liner onto the exposed sticky surface. This two-step method creates an exceptionally strong bond that handles the weight of vertical poly without sagging or failure.
Installation Best Practices:
- Clean and prepare foundation wall surface (acid wash if needed)
- Apply construction adhesive in continuous bead at desired height
- Press butyl tape firmly into adhesive
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions
- Peel protective backing from butyl tape
- Press vapor barrier wall liner firmly onto exposed tape
- Use hand roller for maximum contact
